Between the lake and the Escarpment
Burlington Weed Delivery
GasDank drivers bring cannabis to Burlington the same day, from the towers on Lakeshore Road to the newer streets of Alton Village and the rural roads near Mount Nemo. This page covers the costs, the curbside handoff and Ontario law, and it explains why an address across the city line in Hamilton ships by mail instead.
Updated October 2026

Short answer: Yes. GasDank delivers weed anywhere in Burlington the same day, and our team texts a delivery window once your order is in. Burlington sits in the outer zone: orders start at $60, delivery is $20, and it is free for orders of $160 or more. Pay the Burlington driver in cash at the car, or send an Interac e-Transfer for an extra $5. Buyers must be 19 or older, and GasDank confirms each new client's ID ahead of their first order. Hamilton is outside the same-day map, so Hamilton addresses get mail order instead.
Burlington delivery terms
Taken from checkout for Burlington addresses and confirmed in October 2026. Your exact delivery charge, or free delivery, shows up before you confirm.
From checkout to handoff in Burlington
Burlington orders are placed on the GasDank website. No app, and no account to set up. Once checkout is done, a team member texts a delivery window for that day, and a driver heads to your Burlington address.
The city covers a lot of ground. It runs along the lake from Aldershot at the Hamilton line to Burloak Drive at the Oakville border, and its rural north climbs the Escarpment toward Kilbride and Mount Nemo. A drop near Spencer Smith Park and one in Alton Village sit in different parts of the route, so the window is set for your street.
Your phone will ring or buzz as the driver gets near. You head out to their vehicle, pay cash if you picked cash, and take the order. In Burlington, that handoff is quick and discreet.
Same-day service stops at the Burlington city limits on the Hamilton side. Past that line, orders become mail order, a separate service with different rules.
Burlington order habits that save time
Most hold-ups come from an address detail or a payment step. These habits take care of both in Burlington.
Do
- Type Burlington as the city and double check the postal code
- Name your tower and entrance if you live in a downtown condo
- Add a cross street in Alton Village, the Orchard and other newer areas
- Count exact cash before your window opens
- Send the e-Transfer right after the details arrive
Don't
- Entering a Waterdown or Hamilton address and expecting same-day delivery
- Asking the driver to come up to your unit
- Paying with a large bill and counting on change
- Waiting until the driver is outside to send the e-Transfer
- Getting behind the wheel after an edible
Ontario law for Burlington, rule by rule
Burlington follows Ontario and federal cannabis law, plus any bylaws the City of Burlington adds. These cards cover the rules Burlington customers ask about most, each linked to an official source.
Who can buy
Ontario sets 19 as the minimum age for buying, using, possessing or growing recreational cannabis.[1]
Carrying in public
In public, a Burlington adult can have 30 grams of dried cannabis, roughly one ounce, or the matching amount in other forms.[4]
Equivalent amounts
Ontario counts 70 grams of liquid product, 15 grams of edible product, 5 grams of fresh cannabis, 1 seed or 0.25 grams of concentrate as 1 gram of dried cannabis.[1]
Growing
A home can have up to 4 plants in total for personal use, with starting material from an authorized source, if the lease or condo rules allow it.[1]
Smoke-free spots
No smoking or vaping on restaurant or bar patios or within 9 metres of one, on playgrounds or school grounds or within 20 metres, or in the indoor common areas of condos.[1]
Vehicles and boats
Cannabis in any form is off limits in any car or boat someone is driving or plans to drive, which applies on the lake as much as on the QEW.[1]
Impaired driving
The Criminal Code sets a fine of up to $1,000 for driving with 2 or more, but under 5, nanograms of THC per millilitre of blood, and up to 10 years in prison at 5 nanograms or more.[3]
Edibles
Health Canada notes a 30 minute to 2 hour delay before eaten cannabis acts, and effects that can last up to 24 hours.[2]
Where same day stops: the Hamilton line
Burlington and Hamilton share a long border, and they fall on opposite sides of the same-day line. Burlington belongs to the outer zone for same-day delivery. Hamilton is outside every same-day zone, so any order to a Hamilton address ships by mail order.
That covers places many Burlington people think of as next door. Waterdown, north of Aldershot, is part of the City of Hamilton. So are Hamilton Beach across the canal, Stoney Creek, Dundas, Ancaster, and Westdale by McMaster University.
Watch the street names, too. Burlington Street in Hamilton's north end is a Hamilton address, whatever the name suggests.
If you split your time between the two cities, send same-day orders to the Burlington address. A Hamilton order is still possible; it just travels by mail.
How mail order works for Hamilton addresses
Mail order is its own service. Hamilton parcels go out by express courier in discreet packaging, and tracking is emailed to you. A Hamilton mail order typically lands 24 to 72 hours after it leaves.
Mail order has no minimum. Shipping is $20, and it is free on orders of $150 or more.
Payment is Interac e-Transfer only, with the $5 fee, and the transfer has to clear before the parcel ships. Cash is out, since no driver is involved.
Anyone living in Hamilton has only the mail order route. For a Burlington address, same-day delivery gets the order to you sooner.
Visiting Burlington: hotels and friends' places
Visitors order exactly as residents do. A weekend at a friend's place in Roseland or a night near the QEW gets the same outer zone minimum, the same fee and the same-day handoff.
Hotels work as long as you can walk out to meet the driver at the entrance or in the parking lot. Write the hotel name and the door you will use in the order notes, and keep your phone on.
Ontario does allow smoking or vaping cannabis in a hotel's designated smoking guest rooms, so ask about one when you book a Burlington stay. Lobbies, hallways and other enclosed public spaces are off limits, so in a non-smoking room the choice is an edible or a walk to a spot where smoking is allowed.
A guest staying across the line in Stoney Creek or Waterdown is a mail order customer, not a same-day one. Book the order to the Burlington address if that is where you will be.
Shop by category for Burlington
Mix categories freely in one Burlington order; the whole cart counts toward the $60 minimum and the $160 free delivery line.
What is on the menu for Burlington
A Burlington cart can hold anything from the menu. That means dried flower in value grades through AAA and AAAA, pre-rolls, vape cartridges and disposables, edibles, concentrates such as hash and shatter, and products made with CBD.
Product pages show THC and CBD content where available, plus the strain type and the grade. Read them together: the strain type hints at the style of effect, while the THC figure tells you how strong it is.
For a stronger product in a smaller amount, look at the hash listings, but give them a much lighter hand than flower.
Stock shifts quickly. Check deals for what is on offer.
Paying at the curb or by e-Transfer
Every Burlington order can be paid in cash at the handoff. Count out the exact amount ahead of time; drivers carry very little change, and some carry none.
If you would rather pay from your bank account, choose Interac e-Transfer. It adds $5, the payment details come by text or email, and the money has to land before your Burlington order is dispatched.
Send it the moment the details land. A late transfer means a late order.
Checkout also includes an optional driver tip. Add one if you like.
The 19+ rule and your first Burlington order
In Ontario, cannabis is for adults 19 and older, the same threshold as alcohol and tobacco. You confirm your age at checkout.
New clients also go through an ID verification before GasDank processes their first order. Keep valid photo ID close by when you place that first Burlington order.
The check is the same for everyone, whether you have lived in Brant Hills for decades or moved into Alton Village last week.
Downtown towers, Aldershot townhouses and rural north Burlington
Downtown Burlington has a cluster of condo towers along Lakeshore Road and Brant Street. Put the building address and the entrance you will use in the notes, then head down when the driver gets in touch. Since the exchange is at the car, nobody needs to buzz anyone in.
Townhouse complexes turn up all over the city, including Aldershot, Headon Forest and Millcroft. A complex can have one street address and dozens of units, so give both the complex address and your unit number.
Alton Village and the Orchard are newer, with streets that older maps can miss. Add a cross street such as Appleby Line, Walkers Line or Dundas Street.
North of Highway 407 the city turns rural, with farms, estate lots and Escarpment roads around Kilbride and Mount Nemo. Those addresses are in the same zone. Expect to walk to the road for the handoff, and type the civic number shown on your roadside sign into the notes.
Traffic, the Skyway and winter timing
Burlington is where the QEW, Highway 403 and Highway 407 meet, at the Freeman interchange. When the QEW backs up toward the Skyway, the roads beside it, such as Fairview Street by Mapleview Centre, Plains Road and the North Service Road, fill up as well.
Weekday afternoons are the slowest time to cross the city, so orders placed then tend to get later windows.
Freezing rain and heavy snow slow every car on the road, especially on the Escarpment climbs in north Burlington. Expect a wider window on those days.
On warm summer weekends, Lakeshore Road near Spencer Smith Park and the pier gets crowded. Suggest a meeting spot a street or two inland.
Burlington neighbourhoods we cover
All of Burlington is one outer zone. Each note says what speeds up a handoff there.
- Downtown: Brant Street, Lakeshore Road and the towers near Spencer Smith Park and the pier. Street parking is tight, so name a side street meeting spot.
- Aldershot: The west end along Plains Road, near the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Hamilton line. Make sure your address is Burlington, not Waterdown.
- Brant Hills: Family streets around Brant Street and Upper Middle Road. The crescents curve, so a cross street helps.
- Alton Village: Newer homes and townhouses in the north-east near Appleby Line and Dundas Street. Some streets are recent, so add the nearest main road.
- Millcroft and Headon Forest: Established subdivisions around Walkers Line and Upper Middle Road, with plenty of townhouse complexes. Include the unit number and the complex entrance.
- The Orchard: A newer area near Appleby Line, north of Upper Middle Road. Similar street names sit side by side, so write the full name.
- Tyandaga: Hilly streets around the golf course near Brant Street and Highway 403. Clear house numbers help on dark evenings.
- Roseland and Shoreacres: Older lakeside neighbourhoods with large lots and long drives. Plan to meet the car at the bottom of your driveway.
- Appleby and the east end: Streets around Appleby Line, Appleby GO and Burloak Drive. Past Burloak, Oakville addresses pay the same outer zone price.
- Kilbride and Mount Nemo: Rural north Burlington above Highway 407, on Escarpment roads like Guelph Line. Give the civic number from your lane sign.
“If you eat or drink cannabis, these effects can occur within 30 minutes to 2 hours and can last up to 24 hours.”
Edibles and a waterfront evening
Smoke and vapour act within seconds to minutes. Edibles take much longer to start, which is why the Health Canada line above matters: anything you eat may need up to 2 hours before you feel it, and the effects can run for up to 24 hours.
Plan around that delay. If you want to feel it during an evening walk along the Burlington waterfront, take it well before you head out, start with a small amount, and hold off on a second piece until 2 hours have passed.
Skip alcohol with edibles, and do not drive home from the pier or anywhere else afterwards. Keep leftovers locked away from kids and pets.
Smoking and vaping on Burlington's waterfront and in parks
Provincial law lets adults smoke or vape cannabis at home and outdoors in many public spots, sidewalks and parks among them. Burlington's own bylaws, plus rules set by landlords and other property owners, can narrow that, so read current city bylaws and any signs at Spencer Smith Park or on the pier first.
Provincial law also sets firm no-go zones. Playgrounds, school grounds, publicly owned sports fields and community recreational facility grounds each come with a 20 metre buffer. Restaurant and bar patios, and the 9 metres around them, are off limits, which takes in the patios along Brant Street and Lakeshore Road.
Indoor common areas of condo buildings are covered too, so the lobby and hallways of a downtown tower are out. Joseph Brant Hospital has a 9 metre no-smoking zone around its entrances, as every Ontario hospital does.

Getting home safely in Burlington
Leave the car parked
Halton Regional Police enforce the Criminal Code drug-impaired driving limits in Burlington. Police can charge a driver with 2 nanograms of THC per millilitre of blood, and below 5 that summary offence brings a fine of up to $1,000. Five nanograms or more is a hybrid offence with a maximum of 10 years in prison.
Add alcohol and the bar drops: a blood alcohol concentration of 50 mg per 100 ml, together with 2.5 ng of THC, is also an offence.
Burlington Transit, the Lakeshore West GO line through Aldershot, Burlington and Appleby stations, and taxis all make it easy to leave the car at home. If you have had an edible, assume you are not driving again that day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get weed delivered in Burlington the same day?
Yes. Every Burlington address gets same-day delivery, from Aldershot and downtown to Alton Village, the Orchard and rural Kilbride. After you order, a team member texts the Burlington delivery window. A jammed QEW or a snowstorm can widen a Burlington window, and an earlier order leaves the most slack.
Do you deliver to Hamilton or Waterdown?
Not by same-day driver. Hamilton, including Waterdown, Stoney Creek, Dundas and Ancaster, sits beyond the same-day map, so orders there go by mail order. Those mail orders travel by express courier, require an Interac e-Transfer, and normally reach Hamilton 24 to 72 hours after shipping, tracking included by email. Shipping costs $20 unless the order reaches $150, and there is no minimum.
How much do I need to spend for Burlington delivery?
The minimum is $60, since Burlington is in the outer zone. Checkout will not accept a same-day Burlington order below it and shows how much you still need to add. Oakville and Milton have the same minimum, while Mississauga, in the core zone, needs only $40.
How much is delivery to Burlington?
Below $160, a Burlington order carries a $20 delivery fee; at $160 or more the fee disappears. Checkout shows the delivery line for your Burlington address before you confirm. The $5 e-Transfer fee applies only if you pay that way. Tipping the driver is up to you.
Can I pay cash on delivery in Burlington?
Yes. Cash is accepted on every Burlington order and is paid at the car. Bring exact cash; drivers carry little or no change. You can also pay by Interac e-Transfer for an extra $5; we send the details by text or email, and dispatch waits until the money lands.
Do I need ID for my first Burlington order?
Yes. Every customer confirms they are 19 or older at checkout, and every new client's ID is verified before GasDank processes a first order. A first-time Burlington customer should have valid photo ID on hand while ordering. Ontario's legal age for cannabis is 19.
Where do I meet the Burlington driver?
At their vehicle. The handoff is quick and discreet, typically curbside or at the bottom of your drive. In a downtown tower, come down to the street; on a rural lane north of Highway 407, walk out to the road. Keep your phone on for the driver's call or text.
Do you deliver to Aldershot?
Yes. Aldershot is part of Burlington and gets same-day delivery at outer zone prices. Because it borders Hamilton, double check that your address is in Burlington and not Waterdown before you order. If the delivery line at checkout shows mail order shipping for an Aldershot address, text 647-660-7351 before you confirm.
Can I order to a downtown Burlington condo?
Yes. Put the building address, your unit and the entrance you will use in the notes. When the driver calls or texts, head down and meet them at their vehicle on the street, since handoffs happen at the car. Indoor common areas of condo buildings are smoke-free under Ontario law, so the lobby is not the place to light up.
How long does an edible take to hit?
Health Canada's figure is 30 minutes to 2 hours for eaten or drunk cannabis to take effect, with effects lasting as long as 24 hours. Start small, give it a full 2 hours before taking more, and avoid mixing edibles with alcohol. Feeling fine does not make driving safe.
How much can I carry in public in Burlington?
Burlington adults can carry up to 30 grams of dried cannabis in public, close to an ounce, or the same amount in another form. For that count, every 1 gram of dried cannabis can be swapped for 15 grams of edibles, 5 grams of fresh cannabis, 70 grams of a cannabis drink or other liquid, or 0.25 grams of concentrate, so the limit depends on what you carry.
Can I grow cannabis at home in Burlington?
Yes, up to 4 plants per residence, not per person, for adults 19 and older growing for personal use. Starting material must be from an authorized source. A lease or condo rule can forbid growing, so check yours first, especially in a downtown Burlington condo.
Can I smoke weed at Spencer Smith Park?
Ontario law allows cannabis in many outdoor public places, including parks, but the City of Burlington and other property owners can add restrictions. Provincial rules also ban smoking and vaping within 20 metres of playgrounds and publicly owned sports fields, and on patios or within 9 metres of one. Check current city bylaws and posted signs at Spencer Smith Park before you light up.
Is the delivery discreet?
Yes. The Burlington handoff is quick and discreet, at the driver's vehicle, so there is no wait on your porch. For Hamilton and other addresses outside the zones, mail order parcels ship in discreet packaging, with tracking emailed to you.
When is GasDank customer service open?
Customer service hours are 8 AM to 2 AM Eastern (until 3 AM Thursday to Saturday). Call or text 647-660-7351 to update a Burlington address, add a buzzer or entrance note, or ask about an order. Your delivery window itself comes in the confirmation text after checkout.
