Bacio Gelato

Bacio Gelato flower is named for a strain from the Sherbinskis Gelato lineup, as Leafly places it. Leafly and AllBud both give Sunset Sherbert and Thin Mint GSC as the parents, and AllBud adds that it is a rare, evenly balanced hybrid.

Sherbert, Thin Mint and two Gelato children

Leafly names Gello Gelato and Blickey as children and gives the type as hybrid. AllBud writes the parents as Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and Sunset Sherbet, and gives the type as 50% sativa and 50% indica. Seven classic and modern hybrids are rounded up in our best hybrid strains guide, and other strains are listed in our dried flower range.

Purple undertones and a mint finish

On looks, AllBud reports small, thick buds shaped like spades, olive green with dark purple undertones and bright orange hairs, wrapped in purple-tinted white trichomes.

AllBud’s taste notes read sweet, sour and fruity berry, then a clear hit of mint as you exhale. Its aroma notes follow along, with an earthy, herbal edge that strengthens when the buds burn. Leafly calls the smoke thick, creamy and rich, with a sweet overtone.

Onset, strength and pacing

AllBud’s users report an almost immediate start, with a lifted, creative, euphoric head first and a buzzy body high after. The effect Leafly lists is relaxed, and its suggested setting is a late-night session or a lazy day with few plans.

AllBud’s average THC runs 25% to 29%, and Leafly ranks the strain among the strongest Gelato-family strains, aimed at experienced consumers. For smoked or vaped products, Health Canada’s lower-your-risks guidance advises a first round of just 1 or 2 puffs on something at 10% THC or under, then a long wait, since peak effects can lag by as much as half an hour. AllBud’s figure is far above that 10% mark.
