Euphoria Extractions Sativa Shatter Chews

These chewy candies carry the sativa label and come from Euphoria Extractions, whose shatter chews page describes them as cannabis-infused, fruity-flavoured and offered in several strains.

The three strengths on the brand’s sativa page

Euphoria sets out its sativa chews in three pack strengths, every one of them 30 pieces:

• 150 mg, at 5 mg a piece
• 600 mg, at 20 mg a piece
• 3000 mg, at 100 mg a piece

Euphoria also lists an indica version with the same three strengths, and it gives the flavours as a mixed collection of natural and fruit flavours.

Half of a 5 mg piece

For newcomers, Euphoria’s advice is to eat half a piece, then hold off for as long as 90 minutes before taking more. Half of a 5 mg piece, the size in the lowest strength above, comes to 2.5 mg. Health Canada‘s own mark for edibles is 2.5 mg or less of THC.

With an edible the liver processes the THC, which makes the start later and the effect longer than smoking. Health Canada says the first effects can take half an hour to two hours to appear, and that the full effect may not land for as long as four hours. Lot numbers and what goes into the chews

In all of its products, Euphoria says, the cannabis comes as full spectrum extract or cannabutter. Its standards page describes tracking by lot and batch number, which ties each product to its place of manufacture. The Euphoria range also takes in live resin, sours, tarts, bars, bombs and the infused Shatter Pop soda line.
