Purple Dream is flower named for a Blue Dream cross. Leafly names Granddaddy Purple as the other parent, and AllBud names Purple Kush.

Granddaddy Purple or Purple Kush beside Blue Dream

Leafly calls Purple Dream the mild child of Granddaddy Purple and Blue Dream. AllBud says it was bred from Blue Dream and Purple Kush, and adds that some sources use the name for a different cross of Blue Dream and Granddaddy Purple, though it sees the Purple Kush cross as more popular.

Leafly reviewers describe very purple buds with beautiful crystals and good structure. AllBud describes dark green bud with many dark brown flecks and a light dusting of trichomes, and its reviewers mention super dense nuggets covered in orange hairs.

Sour grape, berries and pine

Leafly describes a strong sour-grape smell and a musty taste, and its flavour tags are berry, flowery and grape. Its reviewers add a floral, turpentine-like taste, and one likens it to Blueberry but stronger. AllBud calls the taste and smell reminiscent of berries, flowers and pine trees. AllBud lists berry, fruity, grape and sweet for flavour, and blueberry, earthy, fruity and sweet for aroma, and its reviewers describe a grape flavour rather than blueberry.

Myrcene first, with 17% THC on Leafly and 15% to 20% on AllBud

In Leafly’s science section, myrcene (herbal) leads, then pinene (pine), with caryophyllene (pepper) in third place. Leafly shows 17% THC alongside 1% CBG, with potency rated above average. AllBud puts THC at probably no more than 15% to 20%, though some of its reviewers quote package figures of 23.40%, 23.98% and 26.5%.
