Gas Station Shatter - Death Bubba

Death Bubba, which AllBud traces back to Bubba Kush, is the strain in this Gas Station shatter. The extract is see-through and glassy, turns brittle enough to snap when chilled, and is usually dabbed, though pieces can also be crumbled over flower.

From Death Star and Bubba Kush to Tom Ford

Leafly gives Death Bubba’s parents as Death Star and Bubba Kush, a cross one AllBud reviewer names as well, and records D Bubba as another name for it. Tom Ford appears in Leafly’s genetics block as a child of the strain. One Leafly reviewer calls Death Bubba the kind of weed BC bud is known for.

Sweet earth, skunk and a hint of coffee

Leafly’s flavour tags are pungent, earthy and skunk, and it describes the taste as sweet and earthy. One Leafly reviewer found very sticky, resinous buds with a slight coffee note that they put down to the Bubba side. On AllBud, the flavour tags run lemon, pine, spicy, sweet and woody, and one reviewer there picked up citrus, fresh pine and sour, rhubarb-like notes in the aroma.

Death Bubba’s THC range and ratings

Leafly files Death Bubba as an indica; AllBud makes it 70% indica and 30% sativa and lists THC between 25% and 27%, a level AllBud calls very high. Our Death Bubba guide uses the same 25% to 27% range. AllBud’s effect tags include euphoria, happy and relaxing. Leafly’s 407 ratings average 4.6, and AllBud’s 54 votes and 45 reviews average 4.8.

A high-THC extract under Health Canada’s advice

Shatter, wax, hash and kief are the extracts Health Canada flags for high THC, and its lower-risk advice asks first-time and infrequent users to stay clear of them. Its lower-risk use guidelines want any driving postponed until 6 hours or more after cannabis. How shatter is made and used is covered in our shatter explainer.
