Blue Fin Tuna, the strain named on this Gas Station shatter, comes from Tuna Kush crossed with Blueberry; Leafly spells it Bluefin Tuna and calls it a hybrid from Western Canada.

One strain, two spellings

AllBud lists the strain as Bluefin Tuna Kush and leans it slightly toward indica, 60% indica to 40% sativa, from the same Tuna Kush and Blueberry pairing. Leafly gives Blue Fin Tuna and Bluefin Tuna Kush as other names and shows the short code BfT beside the strain. One AllBud reviewer says the tuna can be tasted, blending with DJ Short’s Blueberry, and praises the blue-tinted leaves and dusty-looking crystal coverage.

Blueberry up front, fish and diesel behind

AllBud calls the flavour very unusual: sweet blueberry carrying hints of pungent diesel and a strong fishy note, with an aroma along the same lines but heavier on spice and diesel. Leafly tags the flavour blueberry, diesel and menthol, describes a piney, fruity nose over an earthy taste, and names myrcene as the dominant terpene.

Reviewers fill in the rest. On Leafly, one found a fresh, minty, spicy aroma, with a hint of diesel and a touch of berry on the first inhale; another liked a balance of pine and lemon; a third says it smelled like cheese when first opened. An AllBud reviewer calls it dank-smelling yet sweet-tasting.

Reported effects of Bluefin Tuna

Leafly says the effects are thought to be euphoric and energizing, and energetic, uplifted and focused lead the feelings its reviewers report. AllBud describes an energizing yet dreamy high in which creative energy builds slowly and the mind drifts between introspection and sharp focus, followed by a heavy body high that can keep people on the couch.

Leafly gives the strain 23% THC, and AllBud’s average is 20%. Ratings stand at 4.2 from 17 on Leafly and 4.5 from 31 votes on AllBud.
