What goes into a Moonrock Pre-Roll

As a form, moon rocks start as buds: they are coated in cannabis oil, then rolled through kief, the loose trichome powder that gathers in a grinder’s bottom chamber. KushKraft’s Moonrock page describes its joint in similar terms: infused with CO2 honey oil and rolled in kief. KushKraft says the flower comes from indica-dominant hybrid strains, naming Space Queen, Death Bubba and Kootenay Kush among them. The same page lists THC at 35% and CBD at 1%.

Moonrock is one of the brand’s infused pre-roll lines, alongside Sticky Joints, Sticky Bangers, Sticky Blunts and Grab-a-Pre-Roll. KushKraft’s about page says it hand-selects its strains with master growers. On its own site, the Moonrock is offered in 18 flavours, among them Original Cannabis, Vanilla Ice Cream, Cappuccino, Mango Coconut, Strawberry Cheesecake and Apple Pie. The Moonrock range there also includes a 0.6 g Mini Moonrock and the Stardust, a 1.2 g pre-roll infused with shatter.

Pacing a kief-rolled joint

Health Canada puts kief in the same high-THC group as hash, wax and shatter, and its lower-risk tips steer new or occasional users away from that group. For a first smoke, those tips start at 1 or 2 puffs and a THC level of 10% or below, a long way under the 35% KushKraft gives for the Moonrock.
