Health Canada’s guidance for strong extracts
Health Canada‘s lower-risk page sorts extracts into the high-THC group, naming hash, kief, wax and shatter, and advises newcomers and occasional consumers to skip them. For cannabis that is eaten, its starting point is 2.5 mg of THC or less, with 30 minutes to 2 hours for effects to begin and up to 4 hours before they are fully felt. Health Canada’s lower-risk guidelines make 6 hours the shortest acceptable gap between cannabis and driving.
