Leafly files Ice Cream Man under indica and describes it as an indica-dominant cross of Jet Fuel Gelato and Legend Orange Apricot from Compound Genetics. The breeder's notes, quoted on SeedFinder, give the full recipe: Jet Fuel Gelato (Gelato 45 crossed with High Octane OG x Jet Fuel G6) bred to a Legend Orange Apricot F2 male, which comes from Legend OG and Orange Apricot. Other breeders have since used Ice Cream Man as a parent, including GibbsKutz Genetics, whose Banner's New Profession crosses it with Bruce Banner.

Leafly describes dense buds with a splash of orange hairs under icy white trichomes, while AllBud and Weedmaps describe fluffier, bright green buds with a heavy coat of white trichomes. Fruit leads the aroma: Leafly notes berries and apricots with a hint of fuel, and Weedmaps lists apricot, berries and sugar. AllBud adds a peppery, herbal edge and describes a creamy taste with sweet berries, sharp citrus and peppery fuel.
