What is Jokerz?
Jokerz is an indica-dominant hybrid made by crossing White Runtz with Jet Fuel Gelato, and Leafly names Compound Genetics as the original breeder. Leafly's Jet Fuel Gelato page says that parent is also a Compound Genetics strain, bred from Hi-Octane and Jet Fuel. Weedmaps lists Jokerz Runtz as another name for it.
Leafly's strain page, AllBud and Weedmaps all say Jokerz took first place at Oregon's 2022 Leaf Bowl. A December 2022 Leafly article describes a runner-up finish for best indoor dessert and purps strain at that event instead, and names Jokerz a runner-up for Leafly Strain of the Year 2022 and one of Leafly's Buzz strains of that year.
Look, smell and taste
Leafly says growers see silver and green frosty buds. AllBud and Weedmaps both describe triangle-shaped buds with purple tones, thin orange hairs and purple-tinted trichomes.
AllBud describes a creamy, cheesy flavour with sour citrus candy on the exhale, over an aroma of sour cheese, peppery lemon, flowery herbs and spice. Weedmaps calls the nose earthy and floral and the taste citrusy and creamy. Leafly reviewers lean darker, most often naming tar, cheese and chemical notes. Leafly says Jokerz is more relaxing than energizing, and its reviewers most often report feeling focused, relaxed and euphoric. AllBud describes a creeping build: warm euphoria and sharp focus first, then a hazy, giggly stretch, then deep sleepiness. Weedmaps says users feel relaxed and at ease without feeling spacey.
The negatives Leafly reviewers list most are feeling anxious, dry mouth and paranoia. Canada's lower-risk cannabis use guidelines link higher THC potency to more acute problems, so start with a small amount, and do not drive for at least 6 hours after use.
