Our Funky Charms guide credits the strain to Exotic Genetix, which made it from two strains of its own, Grease Monkey and Rainbow Chip. Both Leafly and AllBud trace it to that same pairing. AllBud calls it an evenly balanced hybrid, 50% indica and 50% sativa, and ties the name to its tasty flavour and a “funky” high.

Large, diamond-shaped nugs

AllBud describes large, diamond-shaped nugs in emerald green, with fine orange hairs, golden undertones and tiny, frosty golden-white crystals. One Leafly reviewer describes flower coated in kief.

Gassy funk over grapefruit and apple

Leafly’s top flavour notes are grapefruit, apple and cheese. One Leafly reviewer growing a cut from a mother plant says it smells gassy and funky, and another Leafly reviewer tasted strong grapefruit and fruit punch. AllBud describes sugary fruit with hints of chocolate and nutty vanilla on the tongue, and an aroma of chocolate and vanilla over sour citrus and a sharp, spicy menthol note.
