Black Truffle

Big Chief is the breeder Leafly names for the Black Truffle strain, and Gelato 33 is the one parent it lists. In Leafly’s text the strain is indica-dominant; AllBud describes a rare, slightly indica-dominant hybrid, with 60% indica to 40% sativa.

Tea and lavender, or coffee and blueberry

Leafly gives the aroma and flavour as tea, lavender and menthol, and its top flavour tags are tea, apricot and menthol.

AllBud describes a sweet taste with spicy coffee, grape and blueberry, and likens the aroma to a cup of spicy black coffee with fresh blueberries. Berry, blueberry, coffee, fruity, grape and sweet make up its flavour tags; blueberry, coffee, earthy, gas, kush and spicy make up its aroma tags.

AllBud pictures large, dense, diamond-shaped buds, dark olive green with thin orange hairs, under a frosty coat of dark trichomes.

Truffle family ties and the type labels

THC readings, terpenes and what reviewers tag

Leafly lists THC near 18% with 1% CBG, while AllBud’s range is 26% to 27%. Caryophyllene is first in Leafly’s terpene data, with terpinolene and limonene after it; our terpinolene guide covers the piney, floral second one.

Leafly’s reviewers tag talkative, relaxed and energetic, and its slider reads mostly energizing. AllBud describes a high that arrives between the eyes as an energetic, focused, creative head high while the body settles into a relaxed state.
