Dancehall

Reggae played in times of celebration gave the Dancehall strain its name, according to both Leafly and AllBud, and this flower carries it. Leafly describes a 60/40 sativa-dominant hybrid from the breeder Reggae Seeds, and AllBud gives the same split of 60% sativa and 40% indica.

A Juanita La Lagrimosa cross

On Leafly the cross is Juanita La Lagrimosa, a Mexican-Afghani-Spanish hybrid, with Kalijah, which is Blue Heaven crossed with a Mexican-Afghani hybrid. AllBud pairs Juanita La Lagrimosa, a parent it calls extremely rare, with Kaliyah. Ratios such as 60/40 are decoded in our indica, sativa and hybrid label guide.

THC and CBD on the strain pages

Leafly’s strain page lists THC at 1% and CBD at 13%, and its potency meter rates THC as below average. On AllBud the header reads THC 1% and CBD 15%, and the text puts average CBD at 15.85% with THC under 1%.

Spade-shaped, neon-green buds with a tropical smell

AllBud describes fluffy, bright neon-green, spade-shaped nuggets with gold hairs and a thick frosty coat of golden trichomes. Leafly says shades of green, blue, purple and red show under crystal trichomes as the flowers mature.

AllBud calls the smell tropical and sweet with a little diesel and some earthiness, and the flavour very sweet, with hints of fruity pineapple and a touch of diesel. Leafly says cracked buds give off sweet and spicy aromas. In its terpene ranking myrcene (herbal) leads caryophyllene (pepper) and limonene (citrus), and limonene is the subject of our explainer on the citrus terpene.

Creative and focused in the reports

Creative, focused and uplifted are the tags Leafly reviewers use most. Leafly’s description links a happier, lifted mood to creativity and social bonding, and its effects scale leans energizing. AllBud describes a clear-headed, happy and giggly high with an intense social energy that mixes focus with relaxation, plus a mellow body buzz.

Grow notes from Leafly

Leafly suggests a short vegetative cycle to manage height, especially in a sea of green setup. Outdoor yields typically run 350 to 500 g/m2. The plant wants low humidity and moist soil, and it suits cool and warm climates.
