First Class Funk

AllBud says First Class Funk was named for its very heavy stench. The strain behind this flower is an indica-dominant hybrid on both AllBud and Leafly, built on GMO, and both sites describe a peppery, gassy, diesel-leaning smell.

GMO crossed with a Jet Fuel line

Leafly gives the parents as GMO (shown as GMO Cookies in its genetics box) and Jet Fuel Gelato, and names Compound Genetics as the original breeder. AllBud writes the cross as GMO with Jet Fuel.

Leafly’s description calls the strain indica-dominant, and its category chip reads Hybrid. AllBud sets it at 60% indica and 40% sativa.

Peppery gas and spicy diesel

AllBud describes a flavour of heavy peppery gas, with a very pungent, spicy diesel aroma to match. For flavour it tags fruity, grape, herbal, peppery and spicy, and for aroma diesel, fruity, grape and spicy.

Leafly’s flavour tags are pepper and diesel. It says the dominant terpene, limonene, creates a spicy, gassy nose, with caryophyllene and pinene following.

Fat, rounded, dusty green buds

AllBud pictures fat, rounded, dusty green buds with yellow-orange hairs and a coat of tiny, milky white trichomes.

26% on Leafly, 29% to 33% on AllBud

Leafly says the strain was bred for potency and lists 26% THC with 1% CBG. In AllBud’s write-up the average runs from 29% to 33%. Both numbers describe the strain in general.

Health Canada advises a cautious first go at smoking or vaping: a single puff or two, and a product at 10% THC or lower. A strain reported at 26% to 33% sits far above that. Health Canada adds that the peak may arrive as late as 30 minutes in.

Reviewers on Leafly tag relaxed, euphoric, happy, giggly and uplifted. AllBud’s tags are body high, relaxing and uplifting; its write-up has the high building a few minutes after the final toke: a heady relaxation and a heavy body high.
