Gas Station Shatter - Grape Gas

Leafly noted that Grape Gas was doing very well in extract form in 2024, and here the strain comes as Gas Station shatter. That makes it a clear, glassy concentrate which goes brittle when chilled and snaps instead of bending, usually dabbed or crumbled over flower.

The parents behind the Grape Gas name

Leafly lists Grape Gas as another name for Grape Gasoline, a hybrid that Compound Genetics bred from Grape Pie and Jet Fuel Gelato. AllBud‘s Grape Gas entry makes it a 50/50 hybrid, tracing it to OG Chem crossed with Grand Daddy Purple, a pairing later crossed with The Truth.

Grape juice, diesel and a cheesy edge

Leafly sums up the flavour as pungent grape with a hint of diesel. One Leafly reviewer goes further, describing nugs shaped like little hop buds, a grapey, gassy smell with a cheesy funk at the back end, and a taste that swings between red wine and juicy white grape, with gas and spice on the inhale and a grape-candy aftertaste. Another reviewer there notes gassy, funky undertones beneath a sweet grape-juice taste. Myrcene leads Leafly’s terpene data, followed by linalool and caryophyllene.

In AllBud’s tasting notes the name fits: funky, with spicy grape candy, sour citrus and heavy, gassy diesel on each toke. It describes a pungent aroma with a strong sour-diesel overtone, sour citrus and spicy grape that grow stronger as the buds burn, and it pictures fluffy, popcorn-shaped buds of a dusty green, thick orange hairs throughout and tiny amber trichomes frosting the surface.

An afternoon strain, by Leafly’s account

Leafly calls the effects fairly middle of the road and suggests the afternoon or early evening, with relaxed, euphoric and uplifted as the feelings consumers report. AllBud describes an upbeat start, a lifted, euphoric feeling right after the exhale with a light, tingly energy, which later eases into a lazy, deeply relaxed state. Leafly’s strain figures are 25% THC and 1% CBG, and it points Grape Gas toward experienced consumers; AllBud lists an average of 15% to 23% THC and 1% CBD.
