Heisenberg Diamonds - Runtz is a concentrate of THCA crystals, named for a Gelato cross that Leafly chose as its Strain of the Year for 2020.

Cookies Fam, Long Beach and Zwirlz

Leafly’s account is that Cookies Fam bred the strain and that Yung LB and his crew in Long Beach popularized it. Gelato appears as a parent on both Leafly and AllBud; AllBud rates the strain an even 50% indica and 50% sativa, and our guide to the strain also calls it a balanced hybrid. Leafly adds that Purple Caper Seeds released the identical cross under a different name, that the Dutch call it Zwirlz, and that it now comes in at least 20 variations.

Tree fruit, apricot and a pineapple edge

Leafly says the strain is loved for a very fruity profile and tags its flavour tree fruit, apricot and sweet. AllBud’s tasting notes run to tropical citrus and sour berries, and it picks out a sharp, spicy pineapple edge in the smell; its aroma tags are earthy, herbal, sour, spicy, sweet and tropical. Caryophyllene dominates Leafly’s terpene readout for the strain, with limonene and myrcene trailing.

Talkative and giggly, as reviewers tell it

Talkative tops the list of feelings in Leafly reviews, with giggly and relaxed next, and Leafly labels the strain mostly energizing. Its description calls the effects euphoric and uplifting, and says they tend to be long-lasting. AllBud says the high shows up a few minutes after the last toke as a lift in the head, then spreads through the body as a tingle, and our guide describes a sociable, euphoric start that turns relaxed later on. Leafly’s 1,140 ratings average 4.6, as do AllBud’s 171 votes.

Heat, THCA and a high-THC family
