Pink Unicorn

Pink Unicorn traces back to Riot Seeds, which paired Bodhi Seeds’ Purple Unicorn with its own Blood Rose, according to our Pink Unicorn guide, and it is sold here as flower.

Purple Unicorn meets Blood Rose

AllBud names the same two parents and says the name nods to both that parentage and the strain’s looks. AllBud rates Pink Unicorn a sativa dominant hybrid, about 75% sativa and 25% indica, and our guide also describes it as sativa-leaning. Our explainer on indica, sativa and hybrid labels covers what a split like AllBud’s 75/25 means.

Motivated, focused and sometimes giggly

In AllBud’s write-up, the high opens with a cerebral rush that leaves people euphoric, motivated and sharply focused, and the mood can turn giggly as it builds. Overall, AllBud calls it lifted and energized, and its users give Pink Unicorn a 4.7 rating from 26 votes.

Spade-shaped buds with a citrus nose

By AllBud’s description, the buds are spade-shaped and mint green, with pink undertones and orange hairs under a thick, pink-tinted frost. One customer wrote that “the buds were beautifully cured.”

When a bud is broken, AllBud notes sharp lemon and lime together with spice and wood, shifting toward earth and sour notes once it burns. The taste it describes is lightly spicy and citrusy, finishing on sour lemon and lime, and between its flavour and aroma tags AllBud lists citrus, lemon, lime, pine, woody, earthy, herbal, sour and spicy.

Steven De Guzman’s notes in our guide pair two checks: split a bud by hand before grinding to smell the lemon and lime, and look at the colour, since Riot Seeds made this cross to boost pink and purple tones.

THC range and a driving rule

AllBud gives a THC range of 15% to 23% for the strain. Health Canada’s lower-risk guidelines say to wait at least 6 hours after using cannabis before driving.
