Shishkaberry

This is Shishkaberry flower, a strain that also goes by Kish on Leafly and The Kish on AllBud. AllBud says it took second place for best indica at High Times’ Cannabis Cup in 2001.

DJ Short Blueberry, Afghani or The Red

Leafly lists Shishkaberry under Indica, and its description calls it an indica-dominant hybrid bred from DJ Short Blueberry and an unidentified Afghani. AllBud names The Red, which it ties to Panama Red, and Blueberry as the parents, with a split of 80% indica to 20% sativa. Olive buds that open up when broken

AllBud describes dense, spade-shaped buds, dark olive green with minty-green tones, dark amber hairs and a thick frost of white trichomes, while Leafly mentions shades of purple.

Steven De Guzman’s tip in our Shishkaberry guide notes that the jar can seem quiet, since Leafly reviewers say the smell only comes through once a bud is broken apart. His advice is to grind it just before rolling and to keep the kief from the grinder for topping a bowl.

The two feelings Leafly reviewers log most are relaxed and happy. Leafly describes an opening head buzz that is happy and suits finishing tasks or being social, before it settles into a lazy high. AllBud users describe a start that feels happy, uplifting, social and focused, then a lazy, heavy body high, and they tag the strain creative, euphoria, happy and relaxing. For THC, Leafly’s strain page shows 17% with 0% CBD, while AllBud’s range runs from 18% to 26%.

Eight to nine weeks to maturity

Leafly expects Shishkaberry to mature in 8 to 9 weeks, with a fairly high flower yield. On ratings, AllBud shows 4.9 from 16 votes and nine written reviews, and Leafly 4.2 from 392.
