Tropic Thunder

Tropic Thunder is flower of a strain that Leafly describes as a Maui Wowie cross with colourful buds and floral aromas. Leafly’s category is hybrid, while AllBud puts the strain at 80% sativa and 20% indica, which makes it sativa dominant.

Leafly’s genetics panel lists Maui Wowie as the parent and Monkey Thunder as a child. AllBud also names Maui Wowie, in a cross with another hybrid.

Mango, pineapple and a touch of sage

Leafly lists THC at about 19% with 1% CBG, and puts myrcene first among the terpenes, ahead of limonene and pinene. AllBud’s header shows 31%, while its description gives an average of 18% to 31%.

On Leafly, reviewers tag energetic, focused and giggly, and the write-up describes a mellow, manageable buzz that lifts the mood. AllBud describes a mood-lifting high that relaxes the body without leaning heavily either way, ending in a hazy, giggly euphoria. Health Canada’s lower-your-risks guide adds that the peak from smoked or vaped cannabis can be up to 30 minutes away.
