Packed as a carton, these are Backwoods tobacco cigars in the Vanilla style, from a brand that Imperial Brands owns and ITG Cigars Inc. makes.
A cigar without the middle leaf
A typical cigar is a three-part build: a filler core, a binder leaf around it and a wrapper on the outside. Backwoods skip that middle binder layer, going by a CSP Daily News report, so only filler and wrapper remain. Blunt rollers take a Vanilla Backwoods apart, and our Fronto vs Backwoods guide spells out how: unroll it, tip all of the tobacco filler into the bin, then load the bare leaf with cannabis to make a blunt.
Backwoods at festivals and in US hip-hop
On its brand pages, Imperial Brands frames Backwoods as a mass-market cigar name tied tightly to entertainment and popular culture. Festivals are a regular stop for the brand, Imperial adds, and hip-hop fans in the US form a particular following; its brand timeline singles out 1990s hip-hop references to Backwoods.

Vanilla Backwoods Carton Cigars — Frequently Asked Questions
Q.How should a Vanilla Backwoods be unrolled without tearing the leaf?
Our Fronto vs Backwoods guide says to find where the leaf ends, then open it gently, because the leaf is easy to damage and hard to roll once torn.
Q.Are TrueWraps the same product as Vanilla Backwoods?
No. Unlike the Vanilla cigars in this carton, TrueWraps is its own product; Imperial Brands’ timeline dates its launch to 2024 and calls it a roll-your-own choice made entirely of tobacco leaf.
Q.Which leaves go into a Vanilla Backwoods cigar?
CSP Daily News reported just two: a tobacco filler on the inside and a wrapper leaf on the outside, with none of the binder that most cigars carry between those layers.
