What is Headcracker?
Headcracker is a hybrid that AllBud and Weedmaps both list as a cross of Headband and Green Crack, and Weedmaps says the name comes from those two parents. The original breeder is unknown, according to Weedmaps. AllBud calls it 70% indica, while Leafly files it simply as a hybrid and lists Head Cracker as another spelling.
Not every jar may carry the same genetics. One AllBud reviewer says a product they bought listed a different cross, TresDawg IX x Tres OG, as its origin, so check the label if the lineage matters to you.
Look, smell and taste
AllBud describes fat, fluffy, minty green buds with thin orange hairs and bright white trichomes, while Weedmaps describes small to medium buds with a glistening layer of trichomes.
Sources split on flavour. Leafly reviewers most often pick chemical, ammonia and earthy, and Weedmaps says Headcracker keeps Headband's strong diesel aroma with earthy pine notes. AllBud describes something quite different: a sweet, fruity, nutty plum cake taste with a sour lemon exhale and a spicy, herbal aroma.

Leafly reviewers most often report feeling relaxed, euphoric and happy, and Leafly rates Headcracker as mostly calming. Weedmaps calls the effects intensely relaxing and best kept for the end of the day, and says the strain suits experienced consumers. AllBud describes a fast, tingly, warming head high with a light lift in mood, followed by strong munchies.
Leafly users list dry mouth, dizziness and dry eyes as the main downsides. Because it is described as heavy, start with a small amount, and do not drive afterwards: Health Canada's lower-risk guidelines advise waiting at least 6 hours.
How strong is Headcracker?
AllBud lists about 20% THC, and Leafly and Weedmaps give no figure. Individual reviewers on Leafly and AllBud mention labelled batches from the low 20s up to about 30% THC, so potency clearly varies; go by the lab label on your product.
