What Is Skywalker OG?
Leafly lists Skywalker OG as an indica-dominant hybrid, also known as Skywalker OG Kush, Sky OG and Mazar x Blueberry OG. Its description calls it a cross of Mazar and Blueberry OG, while its family tree shows OG Kush crossed with Skywalker, the Mazar x Blueberry strain. AllBud and Weedmaps both give Skywalker x OG Kush, and Weedmaps credits the breeding to Reserva Privada.
AllBud puts it at 85% indica and 15% sativa. According to Leafly, the name is a nod to Luke Skywalker of Star Wars, chosen for the strain's forceful effects.
Look, Smell and Taste
AllBud describes medium-sized, dense, round olive green buds with burnt orange hairs and a fine layer of milky white trichomes, and Weedmaps also calls them dense and sticky. Leafly describes a spicy, herbal flavour with earthy undertones and lists diesel, pine and spicy herbal among the top flavours and aromas; its users most often pick pungent, earthy and spicy or herbal. AllBud likens the smell to spicy herbal jet fuel, and Weedmaps lists sour hash, pine, earth, fuel and woody spice with a little citrus.
In Leafly's lab-sourced terpene data, myrcene leads, followed by limonene and caryophyllene.
Effects People Report
Leafly rates Skywalker OG as mostly calming, and its more than 1,700 reviewers most often report feeling relaxed, tingly and sleepy; dry mouth, dry eyes and dizziness are the most common negatives. Weedmaps describes a euphoric, hazy head rush followed by deep physical relaxation that gets heavier as the session goes on, and AllBud describes a heavy, couch-locking body feel and strong munchies under a head-in-the-clouds euphoria.
Given how heavy it can get, start with a small amount, and do not drive for at least 6 hours afterwards, as Health Canada's lower-risk cannabis use guidelines advise.
THC and Potency
Leafly shows about 20% THC and 1% CBG on its strain page and describes a range of 20% to 30%. AllBud gives 20% to 25%, and Weedmaps 20% to 28%, adding that THC can climb toward 30%. Numbers vary by grower and batch, so go by the label, and see how much THC percentage really matters for context.
Similar Strains
Its parent OG Kush has its own profile on this blog, as does Blueberry, one of the two strains behind Skywalker. Weedmaps names Kosher Kush and White Fire OG among its similar strains, and Leafly lists Star Killer and Windu as strains bred from Skywalker OG.
