What Is Skunk XXX?
On Seedfinder, Skunk XXX is listed as an indica and sativa hybrid from T.H.Seeds, sold only as regular seeds, with a flowering time of about 55 days. The breeder's description calls it old school Skunk genetics, and Seedfinder's family tree traces it to Skunk and, behind that, to Skunk #1, a mix of Afghan, Colombian and Mexican plants.
T.H.Seeds says it was founded in Amsterdam in 1993 and is known for classic strains such as Original Bubblegum, S.A.G.E. and MK-Ultra, with a reputation built on old school genetics. For context, Wikipedia describes Skunk strains as strong-smelling hybrids, likened to the spray of a skunk, that are believed to have originated in the United States in the early 1980s before Dutch growers developed and popularized them.
Do not confuse it with LA Skunk XXX, a separate strain from the breeder US SkunkX. Seedfinder's entry for that one describes a mostly indica, feminized-only plant that its breeder calls an updated version of Skunk #1, with a Mexican, Colombian and Afghani background.
Look, Smell and Taste
The T.H.Seeds description promises large, fruity buds with classic stinky undertones and lists the taste as skunk, pungent and earthy. Seedfinder has no user-submitted aroma or taste data for the strain yet, so those notes come from the breeder alone.
Effects People Report
T.H.Seeds lists the effects as euphoric, talkative, relaxed, energetic and uplifted. Independent reports are scarce: Leafly does not list the strain, and Seedfinder shows no user effect data so far. For comparison, the breeder of LA Skunk XXX describes an energetic, clear-headed start followed by a weightless, relaxed body feel.
Effects vary by person and batch, so start low, and do not drive for at least 6 hours after using cannabis, as Health Canada's lower-risk cannabis use guidelines advise.
THC and Potency
Seedfinder's listing for T.H.Seeds' Skunk XXX gives no THC figure, so the lab label on the product you buy is the number to trust. The breeder of LA Skunk XXX lists 18% to 20% THC for that strain. For more on reading those labels, see how much THC percentage really matters.

The best-documented relative on this blog is Skunk #1, the strain at the root of the Skunk line in Seedfinder's family tree. For background on older genetics like these, see the guide to legacy strains.
