What The White is
The White is a clone-only cut, meaning it has been passed on as cuttings rather than as a seed line. SeedFinder files it under clone-only strains, notes that it is also known as Triangle, and classes it as mostly indica, while Leafly lists it as a hybrid. Its origin is disputed. Leafly says the strain was originally called Triangle and supposedly came from somewhere in Florida, and Marijuana Guides repeats that account. That name and setting point to Triangle Kush, which Leafly says originated in Florida and is named after the state's three cannabis-producing capitals: Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa.
A grower called Krome, quoted on SeedFinder, tells it differently. He calls The White his strain and says its real name is Triangle because it was a three-way cross, that the name has nothing to do with location, and that "the triangle kush is another local strain that's been around for years." He says it is called The White only for the colour of the finished buds, that to the best of his knowledge it has no relation to White Widow, and that he would rather not discuss its origins because they always seem to start "a heated debate". So the Triangle Kush connection rests on a shared name and remains unconfirmed.
Look, smell and taste
The name comes from the frost. Leafly says The White carries so many white trichomes that the buds look rolled in confectioner's sugar, and that it looks much like an OG in structure. The nose is the surprise: Leafly says it is known for a distinct lack of odour or flavour, though its reviewers most often pick pine, earthy and woody notes. Effects people report
Leafly says the high is usually described as equal body and head sensations, and its reviewers most often report feeling relaxed, sleepy and euphoric. The negatives they list most are dizziness, dry mouth and anxiety.

Leafly calls The White potent, with the potency associated with the best OG Kush cuts, and rates it above average for THC. Go by the label on the batch you buy, since the same product can vary in potency from batch to batch.
Similar strains
One of its offspring is White Fire OG, which Leafly lists as a cross of Fire OG and The White; Leafly also lists Strawberry Shortcake as a descendant. SeedFinder lists 181 direct descendants in its database, including Albino Rhino, a cross with White Rhino. Despite the shared word, White Widow is not a known relative, according to Krome.
