Cotton Candy Kush

Both Leafly and AllBud trace Cotton Candy Kush, sold here as flower, to a cross of Lavender and Power Plant.

Lavender, Power Plant, Blueberry and Afghani

Leafly’s page is titled Cotton Candy, gives Cotton Candy Kush as an alias, and describes a hybrid from the Lavender and Power Plant cross. AllBud adds that the strain comes from Blueberry and Afghani seeds. Leafly names Space Candy and Blue Candy as its children.

An aroma of jasmine, lavender and berries

AllBud describes soft, fluffy-looking flowers with plenty of resin, an intense aroma reminiscent of jasmine, lavender and berries, and a very sweet taste. It says a pinkish hue appears after about eight weeks, on a green plant with lighter undersides. Leafly’s description speaks of a strong cherry flavour with floral undertones, and its flavour tags are flowery, lavender and sweet.

Myrcene on top

Leafly’s terpene readings rank myrcene first, pinene second and limonene third. AllBud’s aroma tags run to blueberry, floral, fragrant, pungent and sweet, and its flavour tags are berry and sweet.

Two phenotypes in circulation

A Leafly grower who ran two phenotypes found one sugary and citrusy, looking like Power Plant, and the other more floral with a hint of grape. An AllBud reviewer likewise describes two phenotypes on the market: one more indica-dominant, the other a more balanced hybrid that leans sativa.

19% THC on Leafly, 12% to 22% on AllBud

Leafly gives the strain about 19% THC and 1% CBG. AllBud gives a THC range of 12% to 22%, an even split of 50% sativa and 50% indica, and a flowering time of about 50 days. Health Canada‘s lower-risk starting point is lower than either figure: a puff or two of something with no more than 10% THC.

Euphoric, happy and relaxed lead the effects reported by Leafly users, across 982 ratings averaging 4.3. AllBud describes euphoria with some amusement and fits of laughter, and its users rate the strain 4.5 from 12 votes.
