Mr Nice’s Critical Mass meets Barney’s Farm OG Kush

Barney’s Farm credits its Critical Mass parent to Mr Nice, and Leafly and AllBud name the same parents and the same breeder. Barney’s Farm describes an extremely vigorous plant that yields heavily, with very dense, heavy flowers and a Kush flavour it calls unmistakable. Leafly lists Super Chronic among its children.

50 to 60 days indoors, late September outdoors

Barney’s Farm gives an indoor flowering time of 7 to 8 weeks, or 50 to 60 days, the same window Leafly shows. The plant grows to medium height, and its side branches need extra support to carry the heavy colas, the breeder adds. Outdoors it finishes in the third or fourth week of September, with a yield of 700 to 800 g per plant by Barney’s Farm’s figures. Barney’s Farm says it released the regular-seed version for growers seeking a Critical Kush mother plant.

Mint green with orange hairs and purple undertones

AllBud pictures dense, fluffy, popcorn-shaped nugs in light mint green, with deep orange hairs, purple undertones and a thin layer of clear-looking trichomes. It gives the aroma as earthy, spicy pine, and the taste as earthy pine that ends in a sweet, spicy aftertaste on the exhale. THC readings and type for the strain

Leafly’s numbers for Critical Kush are about 18% THC and 1% CBG. Barney’s Farm lists 22% THC, while AllBud gives 25% and puts the average at 14% to 20%, with 1% CBN. On type, Leafly lists Critical Kush as an indica, AllBud describes a heavily indica-dominant hybrid with a 90:10 split in favour of indica, and Barney’s Farm calls its regular seed 100% indica.

All of those THC figures for Critical Kush exceed Health Canada‘s starting level for a lower-risk smoke, 10% THC or less taken as a puff or two, and it adds that smoking can take as much as half an hour to peak.

AllBud says the high builds slowly, starting as a relaxed, hazy body high with a touch of euphoria and leaving people happy and uplifted. Leafly’s reviewers put relaxed and hungry at the top of their effect tags. The strain is rated 4.4 on both sites, from 742 ratings on Leafly and 44 votes on AllBud.
