Donkey Butter

On Leafly, the flavour tags for Donkey Butter run butter, pepper and earthy, and the strain behind this flower is listed as an indica from Grease Monkey crossed with Triple OG. AllBud lists the same parents; its type for the strain is indica dominant hybrid, which it calls rare, at 70% indica and 30% sativa.

Fuel, skunk and pine on the nose

The aroma on Leafly is pungent, with fuel-forward and earthy notes. AllBud’s version is heavier: a pungent smell with a spicy diesel note, rich skunk and pine, and a spicy, skunky flavour with hints of earthy pine and herbs on the exhale. Diesel, pine, skunky and spicy are its flavour tags, and earthy and pungent turn up among its aroma tags.

In the lab-based terpene data Leafly carries, caryophyllene comes first, with limonene second and myrcene third. The middle one is profiled in our limonene guide.

Dark, resinous buds

Growers quoted on Leafly report heavy resin production and dark buds in deep green colours. AllBud describes long, tapered olive-green buds with thin amber hairs and a thick coating of frosty golden trichomes.

Between 18% and 28% THC

Leafly gives THC as 18% and CBG as 1%, and its potency gauge sits above average. AllBud’s header says 27%, the text puts the average at 26% to 28%, and CBD is listed at 1%. Our Donkey Butter guide reads the range as about 18% to 28%, depending on batch. Health Canada‘s starting advice for smoking and vaping is one or two puffs, and the product should have 10% THC or less.

Relaxed, happy and tingly

Leafly’s reviewers tag relaxed and happy. AllBud’s users describe a relaxing, euphoric lift with light tingly energy settling into a deep body high, and its tag list reads euphoria, relaxing, uplifting and body high.

A vaporizer tip from our guide

Our Donkey Butter guide passes on a tip from Steven De Guzman, built on a Leafly reviewer who found the flavour best on a low vaporizer setting: begin with the temperature low, then raise it step by step.
