Dosido

Our Do-Si-Dos strain page credits Oregon’s Archive Seed Bank with breeding the strain this Dosido takes its name from, joining Face Off OG BX1 with the OG Kush Breath cut of GSC. The flower is labelled indica and comes in 1 g, 3.5 g, 7 g and 14 g weights, plus a full ounce (28 g).

Leafly’s Strain of the Year for 2021

Leafly spells the name Dosidos, lists Dosi, Do-Si-Dos, Do Si Dos and Dosi Doe as other spellings, and named it Strain of the Year for 2021. Leafly calls it an indica-dominant hybrid that takes after its GSC parent, with Face Off OG genetics added, and names Slurricane and Moonbow among its best-known offspring. AllBud names the same GSC and Face Off OG parents and gives a split of 70% indica and 30% sativa.

Lime-green leaves and syrupy resin

Leafly pictures glittering trichomes and bright pistils over lime-green and lavender leaves. AllBud’s description has conical, olive-green nugs with bright amber hairs and purple leaves, glazed with sticky resin under frosty white trichomes.

That resin is behind Robert Misic’s tip in our Do-Si-Dos guide: the buds are dense but soft and come apart easily, so he suggests grinding right before rolling and brushing the grinder out afterwards.

Pepper, flowers and sweet mint

Leafly’s aroma notes are pungent and sweet over an earthy base, with a faint floral funk and classic OG notes, and its flavour tags are flowery, pepper and earthy. AllBud describes a sweet, minty flavour like a cookie and a sweet, minty aroma lifted by fresh lime and pine. Robert adds that a good jar gives off pepper and flowers over a sweet, earthy base.

THC figures and the reported high

Leafly gives the strain THC of about 20% and CBG of about 1%, and AllBud lists THC at 28% to 30%. The two effects Leafly reviewers report most are relaxed and tingly, and some reviewers also tag focused, uplifted, giggly, happy and hungry. Leafly describes a strong, upfront stoney buzz that gradually settles over the body. AllBud describes a fast, brief cerebral rush that gives way to a happy, introspective mood while a warm body buzz spreads down the spine and limbs.

Health Canada‘s lower-risk smoking advice starts at 1 or 2 puffs, with THC at 10% or below, a level both strain figures exceed at least twofold.

Growing Do-Si-Dos

Leafly’s grow notes rate it a strain for intermediate and advanced growers, indoors or outdoors, in soil or hydro. Flowering takes about 63 days, outdoor plants finish from September through October, and the yield runs medium to heavy, given as 500 to 900 grams.
