Indica
Indica
IndicaFire OG takes its name from the frosty red hairs that make the buds look as if they are burning, Leafly says. The flower shares that name with a strain Leafly calls an indica-dominant hybrid, made by crossing OG Kush with SFV OG Kush. AllBud writes the same cross as OG Kush and San Fernando Valley OG Kush.
The OG Kush family tree
Leafly also records the strain as Fire OG Kush, and its genetics section names Animal Cookies and White Fire OG as children of Fire OG. AllBud calls it the most powerful member of the OG Kush family.
Leafly files the strain under hybrid, while AllBud labels it indica-dominant, 70% indica and 30% sativa. Our best indica strains guide collects six classics, from GDP to Bubba Kush.
Lemon, pine and woody kush notes
Leafly likens the aroma to Lemon Pledge, and its flavour tags are lemon, earthy and pine. AllBud describes an aroma of sweet burning pine and a pungent, earthy taste with a hint of woody kush. Its flavour tags add citrus, herbal, spicy and sweet.
Leafly’s grow notes add that plants may show fruity or diesel-smelling phenotypes.
Neon green buds with purple undertones
AllBud pictures leafy, airy, neon green buds with plenty of long, thin orange hairs, rich purple undertones and a frosty white layer of trichomes.
What the potency and terpene data say about Fire OG
Leafly puts Fire OG near 20% THC with 1% CBG, calls it one of the strongest OG strains, and names it a favourite of consumers with a high THC tolerance. AllBud’s range runs from 20% to 25%.
On Leafly, Fire OG’s terpene ranking runs myrcene, then limonene, then caryophyllene.
Relaxed, tingly and euphoric head the tags from Leafly reviewers, and Leafly describes the euphoria as potent and long-lasting. AllBud users tag euphoria and happy. They describe an immediate, creative, uplifting start with motivation and a rush of energy.
What Leafly’s grow notes record
Leafly’s grow notes put flowering at 9 to 10 weeks, ask for moderate fertilizer, and say the plant trains well either as a multi-branched plant or in a sea of green. The average yield Leafly gives is 25 to 30 grams for each plant.
