Jack Frost

Jack Frost is a White Widow and Northern Lights #5 cross by the account of both Leafly and AllBud, and this flower takes its name from the strain. Leafly’s description is of a potent hybrid, and AllBud also calls it a hybrid, half sativa and half indica.

Pine, citrus and a hint of lemon

On Leafly the scent is sweet and woody with just a hint of lemon, and the flavour tags are pine, citrus and earthy; reviewers there mention a piney, sweet-citrus aroma and an earthy lime taste. AllBud calls the aroma mild and skunky and the smoke mild and clean, with an earthy, woody pine taste. Its tags: citrus, earthy, lemon and sweet for aroma; citrus, pine, sweet and woody for flavour. One AllBud reviewer notes a minty taste, another a pine, lemon and citrus smell and taste. As for looks, AllBud describes a fluffy green bud and Leafly reviewers add a frosty look.

Terpinolene up front, and Blue Frost as an offspring

Leafly’s terpene data ranks terpinolene (tagged fruity) first, then myrcene (herbal) and caryophyllene (pepper). Our terpinolene guide is devoted to that lead terpene. Leafly also lists Blue Frost as a strain bred from Jack Frost.

THC: 20% on Leafly, 23% on AllBud

Leafly’s THC figure is 20% (CBG 1%), and the potency gauge there reads higher than average. AllBud lists 23%, about 22.6% in its text, plus CBN at 1%.

Happy, creative and slow to build

Leafly calls Jack Frost a festive strain for feeling happy, creative and energized, and its effects gauge reads mostly energizing; euphoric and uplifted are the reviewer tags used most. One reviewer likens the slow-building effect to White Widow. AllBud describes a strong, extremely euphoric and uplifting effect that is also creative, happy and energetic, and tags it creative, euphoria, focus, happy and relaxing.
