Lemon Gelato

Bold hints of lemon, blueberry and sherbet are what Leafly highlights in Lemon Gelato, the indica-dominant hybrid this flower is named for. AllBud agrees on indica-dominant and weighs it at 70% indica to 30% sativa.

Where Lemon Gelato’s parents come from

Leafly says the strain is made by crossing three strains: Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, Lemon Haze and Sunset Sherbet, and its genetics box lists Sunset Sherbet as a parent. AllBud gives the cross as Gelato #33 with Lemon Tree.

Long, narrow, pepper-shaped buds

AllBud describes long, narrow, pepper-shaped buds in minty green, with fine light orange hairs and tiny frosty white crystals dusted over the surface. Leafly says the buds show bright orange and purple hairs under an amber resin coating, and the growers it quotes describe lumpy, sticky buds with dark green foliage.

Lemon, blueberry and a hint of blue cheese

Behind the lemon, blueberry and sherbet, Leafly says, some people notice an earthy, woody aftertaste. Lemon, blue cheese and blueberry are its flavour tags, and one reviewer compares the smell to blue cheese, only sweeter and more citrusy.

AllBud describes a sweet and sour, creamy lemon gelato flavour with a touch of fresh blueberries, and an aroma that is bright and lemony with earthy, woody notes. On Leafly the terpene order runs myrcene (herbal), pinene (pine), caryophyllene (pepper).

A buzzy head high with a tingle

Leafly describes a buzzy head high with easygoing euphoria, tingly and relaxed without locking you to the sofa. Relaxed, euphoric and creative are the feelings its reviewers tag most. AllBud describes a euphoric, lifted high with mental stimulation and a tingly, happy creativity, after which a tingle moves through the body into relaxation. Its users tag body high, creative, euphoria, happy, relaxing, tingly and uplifting.

THC from 18% to 29%

THC is 18% on Leafly, alongside 1% CBG, with the potency ranked above average, while AllBud puts the average at 19% to 29%. Health Canada’s lower-risk advice pairs a ceiling of 10% THC with a start of one or two puffs.
