Our Lemon Skunk guide fills in the background: DNA Genetics paired a lemony Skunk mother, which had been kept in Las Vegas for over 20 years, with a Skunk father chosen in Holland. AllBud says the two phenotypes were picked for their tangy lemon character, and Leafly’s genetics section names Skunk 1 as the parent.
Parent of Super Lemon Haze
Leafly lists Super Lemon Haze and Lemon Haze as children of Lemon Skunk, and one AllBud reviewer calls it a classic and a parent of many strains. Steven De Guzman’s tip in our Lemon Skunk guide is aimed at Super Lemon Haze fans: that strain came from Lemon Skunk crossed with Super Silver Haze, so going back a generation gives the zesty lemon on a pungent skunk base, without the haze.

AllBud’s version is a heady, peppy high with a lift of energy and creativity and a euphoric kick, which it sums up as uplifting yet lazy.
Leafly lists Lemon Skunk as a sativa-dominant hybrid with THC around 19% and CBG near 1%, and its potency scale puts it above average. AllBud rates it 60% sativa and 40% indica, with THC from 15 to 22%, CBD at 1% and CBN at 1%. Ratings stand at 4.3 from 1,110 on Leafly and 4.5 from 65 votes on AllBud.
