HybridThe strain behind this Purple Punch flower is pictured by AllBud as fluffy, oversized buds in a bright neon green, a few red-orange hairs here and there, and tiny amber trichomes that give a frosty finish. Leafly and AllBud both trace it to Larry OG and Granddaddy Purple.
Fluffy buds under an amber frost
Leafly says the buds are heavily coated in trichomes. Two AllBud reviewers add detail: one describes very dense buds with a sweet berry flavour and aroma, and another crystal-covered buds with a sweet berry and woody aroma.
Blueberry muffin, grape and vanilla
Leafly’s flavour tags are grape, plum and berry, and its text describes a smell of blueberry muffins and grape candy. One Leafly reviewer, writing in October 2026, says it tastes like berries.
When the buds are broken apart, AllBud finds a sweet, herbal overtone over earthy blueberry and grape aromas. It calls the flavour very sweet vanilla blueberry, with a faint, slightly sour grape-candy note. Blueberry, candy, grape, sweet and vanilla are its flavour tags, and blueberry, earthy, grape, herbal and sweet its aroma tags.
Other names, offspring and grow notes
Leafly also uses Punch as a name for the strain and shows the short code Ppu next to it. It names Mimosa and Slurricane as strains bred from it. Leafly lists Purple Punch as a hybrid, a sweet pairing of two indica-dominant classics, while AllBud describes a rare hybrid weighted 80% toward indica, with 20% sativa. Our Purple Punch guide names Supernova Gardens as the breeder.
Growers get an easy plant with a medium yield, according to Leafly, staying short to medium in height (especially in soil) and finishing in 8 to 9 weeks of flowering.
Caryophyllene first, with THC near 18% to 20%
Caryophyllene is the most abundant terpene on Leafly, followed by limonene and pinene; our limonene guide covers the second of them. Leafly lists 18% THC and 0% CBD, and its potency scale puts the strain above average. AllBud’s average runs 18% to 20%, with 1% CBD, a range our guide repeats alongside a reminder that batches vary.
A quick-arriving high
Leafly’s text has the high landing between the eyes and spreading to the limbs afterwards, and it calls the strain a dessert strain for after dinner. Relaxed and hungry top the tags from Leafly reviewers, and the October 2026 reviewer describes a warm, fuzzy body high with a buzz in the head and giggles.
AllBud describes the high as quick to arrive: euphoria first, then a heady, happy lift, with the body easing into deep relaxation. It tags euphoria, happy, hungry, relaxing and uplifting. Leafly shows 4.6 from 1,773 ratings, and AllBud shows 4.6 from 159 votes and 96 reviews.
