Purple Zkittlez by Ethos Genetics

Ethos Genetics bred the strain behind this flower, according to Leafly, which lists it as Purple Z, a cross of Purple Punch and The Original Z. It is sold here as Purple Zkittlez by Ethos Genetics.

Purple Punch and The Original Z

Leafly describes the cross as offering rich flavour and a potent high, pitches it to fans of old-school purple strains, and lists it as an indica. AllBud names the same two parents and rates the strain 60% indica and 40% sativa, only slightly indica-dominant.

Purple hues under a thick frost

Leafly mentions beautiful purple hues and prominent trichomes. AllBud describes dark green, spade-shaped nuggets with deep purple undertones, amber hairs and a thick frosting of purple-tinted trichome crystals, and one Leafly reviewer describes pretty purple nugs with orange hairs.

Grape, blueberry and a tingle on the tongue

Leafly calls the flavour grape-forward and fruity, with tags of violet, berry and flowery. Pulling the nugs apart, AllBud says, releases spicy, earthy herb and ripe blueberry aromas, and the flavour follows with a sweet berry-candy note that leaves a tingle on the tongue. Leafly reviewers add a slightly vanilla, slightly berry flavour, and one compares it to Guava Berry, only stronger.

Leafly’s lab-sourced terpene data names terpinolene, which it tags as fruity, as the dominant terpene, followed by pinene and caryophyllene. Our terpinolene guide explains more about it.

Relaxed, happy and full-bodied

Relaxed and happy lead the effects Leafly reviewers report, and individual reviewers also tag euphoric, giggly, talkative, hungry, creative, uplifted and tingly. AllBud describes full-bodied, buzzy effects with euphoria and lift from the onset and a touch of creativity.

On Leafly, THC is shown near 19% with CBG near 1%, and the potency meter reads above average; AllBud states a moderate 12% to 14% average. Health Canada notes that the first effects of inhaling arrive in seconds to minutes and that the full peak may take until the 30-minute mark.
