Afgoo also goes by Afghan Goo and Afgooey: Leafly lists those two as other names, and AllBud calls Afgoo another name for Afgooey. On Leafly the strain is an indica; AllBud puts it in the indica-dominant hybrid group, at 80% indica and 20% sativa.

Afghan roots and a Maui side

Leafly says the strain is thought to come from Afghani and Maui Haze lines. In the genetics panel, Afghani and Island Maui Haze are the parents Leafly lists, and Gooberry and Double OG appear among the strains bred from it. AllBud, for its part, describes a cross of an unnamed Maui sativa and an unnamed Afghan indica.

AllBud describes a skunky, sweet aroma with a pine-like quality, and says the flavour follows the same profile. Its flavour tags are herbal, pine, skunky, spicy and woody, and its aroma tags are earthy, pine, pungent, spicy and sweet.

The flavour reads woody, pine and earthy on Leafly, where lab-sourced terpene data lists myrcene (herbal) as dominant, followed by ocimene (mint) and pinene (pine).

Where the high is centred

AllBud says the high is centred almost entirely in the body, with a euphoric feel, a happy mood and often strong hunger, and its users pick euphoria, happy and relaxing. On Leafly, most reports describe a relaxing effect, smaller doses may bring some uplifting creativity, and reviewers most often tag relaxed and hungry.

Potency and ratings

Leafly shows THC at 18% with 1% CBG. AllBud gives 23% to 28% THC with CBD under 1%, and says some tests put THC above 28%.
