Willo 2G THC Disp Pen- Gelato Mintz

Five clicks of the button switch on this 2 g disposable vape pen from Willo, filled with THC distillate in the Gelato Mintz flavour. Willo tags Gelato Mintz as a hybrid and describes its flavour as sweet, earthy and minty.

On, puff, off: Willo’s steps

Once it is on, inhale from the mouthpiece; Willo suggests small puffs first and holding the button down for bigger ones. The pen responds to both button and air activation, and another 5 clicks turn it off. Its coil is a flavour coil that Willo describes as sustainable.

USB-C charging and an empty tank

The pen is fully disposable, but it carries a USB-C port, and Willo says the battery can take a fresh charge if it runs low while the tank still holds oil; no cable comes with it. With the battery built in, there is no separate battery to screw it onto, as there is with the threaded 510 vape cartridges that fit standard batteries. Our guide to THC disposables explains how to recycle a spent pen.

The oil behind the mint

Willo calls this model its flagship THC disposable. The tank takes 2 ml, or 2,000 mg, of distillate that Willo puts at 98% Δ9 THC and says is distilled three times. Mineral oil, MCT, VG, PG and vitamin E acetate are each marked 0% on Willo’s feature list. The brand credits the flavour to natural terpenes and flavourings and says the colour of the oil may not look the same from strain to strain. Willo’s home page places the brand in Toronto and describes its products as locally sourced, with production and packaging done in the city.

Puff count and the 6 hour rule

The lower-risk use guidelines from Health Canada say a driver should let at least 6 hours go by after using cannabis. For vaping, its advice on lowering risks starts at a puff or two of something with THC at or under 10%, and it describes an onset measured in seconds to minutes and a peak up to 30 minutes later.
