What is Blue Zushi?
Blue Zushi is an indica-dominant hybrid made by crossing Zkittlez and Kush Mints, and Leafly names The Ten Co as its original breeder. Leafly's Zushi page says Ten Co's Zushi, a cross of Original Z (Zkittlez) and Kush Mints, spawned both Blue Zushi and Pink Zushi. According to Leafly, the name comes from dark green buds with nearly blue accents and platinum trichomes.
Weedmaps calls Blue Zushi a calling card for the Southern California breeder and says it took Best Overall and Best Tasting Flower at the 2023 California Zalympix, plus second place for Best Terps. Weedmaps also notes that the original cut mostly circulates as closely held genetics rather than a standard seed release, so flower or seeds sold under the name can differ. AllBud puts the split at about 60% indica and 40% sativa.
Look, smell and taste
Weedmaps describes dense green flowers that can show deep blue and purple undertones under a thick wash of trichomes. AllBud describes smaller, fluffier forest green buds with blue undertones, bright orange hairs and blue-tinted trichomes, so descriptions of bud structure differ.
Leafly reviewers most often report mint, flowery and berry flavours, and Leafly says the dominant terpenes, limonene and caryophyllene, give a sweet, slightly tropical nose. Weedmaps describes berry, tropical candy and citrus over mint, earth, spice and a gassy finish. Leafly reviewers most often report feeling tingly, euphoric and relaxed, and Leafly rates the strain's effects as mostly calming. Weedmaps describes a euphoric, tingly lift that gradually settles into a calmer full-body buzz. AllBud says the high creeps in slowly, feels lifted and energetic at first, then turns into deep relaxation. The negatives Leafly reviewers mention most are dizziness, dry mouth and dry eyes.
