Archive Seed Bank lists the original Rainbow Belts as Zkittlez x Moonbow #75. It says it picked that Moonbow female from 200 plants for her colour, stable sex, OG-like potency and candied lime aroma, then crossed her back to the original Zkittlez mother. Leafly describes Moonbow as Archive's Zkittlez x Do-Si-Dos cross, so Zkittlez sits on both sides of the family tree.
Two later lines share the name. Rainbow Belts 2.0 crosses a Rainbow Belts male with the #20 cutting, a breeder cut Archive gave out to growers, and is described as shorter, with an 8-week flowering time. Rainbow Belts 3.0 pairs #20 with a Moonbow 112 F2 male for taller, more resinous plants aimed at hash makers. Archive says the lines have won hash and flower competitions, including Ego Clash and High Times cups.
Leafly files the strain as a hybrid although its summary calls it an indica, AllBud lists a 50/50 hybrid, and SeedFinder's breeder profile notes that Archive has not revealed an exact split. Leafly's reviewers most often pick tropical, tree fruit and apricot flavours, and AllBud adds lemon-lime, grape and spicy berry over a flowery diesel smell.
