Leafly lists Zoap as an evenly balanced hybrid bred by Deo Farms of Oakland from Rainbow Sherbet and Pink Guava, and AllBud calls it a 50/50 hybrid of Pink Guava #16 and Rainbow Sherbet. Weedmaps credits Deep East of DEO Farms with breeding and selecting it and Wizard Trees with growing it, and says the Pink Guava x Rainbow Sherbet listing is shorthand for a longer run of selections within DEO's RS project.

The line started with OZ Kush seeds from Dying Breed; 2 of Deo's OZ Kush selections became Pink Guava, which Deo crossed with Sunset Sherbert to start the RS (Rainbow Sherbert) line.
