What Is Spritzer?
Weedmaps describes Spritzer as a high-potency hybrid from Colorado's Cannarado Genetics, built by crossing Runtz with a pairing of Grape Pie and MAC. Leafly lists the same three strains, and AllBud spells out MAC as Miracle Alien Cookies and calls Spritzer an even 50/50 hybrid.
Leafly says it is still learning about Spritzer's flavours and effects, and its page has 172 ratings so far.
Look, Smell and Taste
Weedmaps describes tight, dense flowers frosted with trichomes and streaked with deep purple, while AllBud describes large, spade-shaped, bright green nugs with thin orange hairs. The two descriptions differ.
On the nose, Weedmaps describes crushed grape and dark cherry with a squeeze of citrus over gas and cracked black pepper, and a grape and berry flavour with an earthy, peppery finish. AllBud adds sweet cherry and berry notes with hints of flowers and black pepper, and Leafly reviewers most often taste apricot, grapefruit and ammonia.
Leafly's lab data lists caryophyllene first, followed by limonene and linalool. The guide to cannabis terpenes explains what those compounds are.
Effects People Report
Leafly's ratings most often mention feeling aroused, relaxed and tingly, and Leafly rates its effects as mostly calming. Weedmaps says reviewers describe a high that opens in the head with an uplifted, euphoric lift and then drifts into physical calm, often with the munchies, which is why some prefer it in the evening. AllBud leans more energetic, describing lifted euphoria, creativity and a social mood.
The downsides Leafly users list most are dry mouth, headache and dry eyes. With THC this variable, start with a small amount, and follow Health Canada's advice not to drive for at least 6 hours after using cannabis.
THC and Potency
Spritzer's listings vary widely. AllBud gives an average of 19% to 23% THC with 1% to 2% CBD, while Leafly's page shows about 32% THC and Weedmaps calls it high potency. Check the lab result on the label for the batch you are looking at.
Similar Strains
Spritzer's relatives come through its parents. MAC is Miracle Alien Cookies, and Leafly describes Grape Pie as a cross of Cherry Pie and Grape Stomper. Runtz, the third strain in the mix, also appears in the lineage of Blue Nerds, which Leafly lists as a Runtz offspring. Leafly names Mellowz and Black Bubblegum Horchata as Spritzer offspring.
