What Super Boof is
Leafly lists Super Boof, also known as Superboof, Ze Boof or Blockberry, as a hybrid of Black Cherry Punch and Tropicana Cookies. Leafly's Strain of the Year article says the breeder, Blockhead, made the cross in 2019 from a single pack each of Inhouse Genetics' Black Cherry Punch and Oni Seed Co's "Mountain" Tropicana Cookies F2, using 2 Black Cherry Punch females and 1 Tropicana Cookies male.
He mailed seeds to Mobilejay, a Michigan grower and cloner, who picked the best plant and joked that it would turn out to be "boof", slang for middling weed. It did not, and the name stuck. Mobilejay spread cuttings in 2021 and 2022. Leafly says the strain has its roots in Tangie and places it among modern, loud orange-flavoured strains rather than the candy-gas of Gelato and Runtz.
Its trophy shelf, per Leafly, includes High Times Cups in Southern California and Alaska in 2022, an Arizona High Times Cup for flower and Emerald Cup wins for ice water hash in 2023, and back-to-back first places for "Ze Boof" ice water hash at the Ego Clash in 2023 and 2024. Growers like it too: Leafly says it can hit 3 pounds per light and return 4 to 5% hash, and Mobilejay calls it very resistant to powdery mildew outdoors.

Leafly describes chunky, deep green buds dappled with purple that look wet with silver calyxes, and a loud orange cookie smell. Reviewers' top flavour tags are grapefruit, citrus and orange, and Leafly lists myrcene as the dominant terpene.
