Alien Dawg

Chemdawg crossed with Alien Technology: that is the parentage Leafly and AllBud both give for the strain behind this Alien Dawg flower. Leafly also records Alien Dog as another name.

The Alien Technology side of the family

Both sources point to Northern California and Afghan roots. AllBud describes Alien Technology as a powerful Afghani indica said to have reached the United States with an American soldier. Leafly’s genetics chart shows only Alien Technology as a parent, and lists Alien Cookies and Alien Kush among the strains that descend from Alien Dawg.

On type, Leafly calls Alien Dawg a hybrid at 40% indica to 60% sativa. AllBud’s ratio runs the other way, 70/30 in favour of indica, which makes it indica-dominant in AllBud’s terms.

Bright green buds, sour on the nose

AllBud describes bright green buds with plenty of orange flecks. Leafly calls the odour sour and pungent and the taste light, with a bitter edge; its flavour tags are woody, chemical and earthy. AllBud finds the taste sharp and bitter, with sour earth and pine notes, and the smell pungent and sour with some pine. Its aromas are tagged chemical, citrus, diesel, harsh, pine and pungent, and its flavours herbal, pine, spicy, sweet and woody.

On Leafly the terpene order is myrcene (herbal), caryophyllene (pepper) and limonene (citrus).
