Breaking Dab Shatter - Tropicana Cookie

This Breaking Dab shatter carries the Tropicana Cookie name, after a strain that Leafly says Harry Palms of Bloom Seed Co first bred by crossing GSC with Tangie.

Leafly adds that Oni Seed Co of Colorado later made a second generation, Tropicanna Cookies F2, which is also well regarded. Leafly lists Tropicanna Cookies and MTN Trop as other names, names Super Boof and Trop Cherry as children, and notes that the plant suits hot climates. Leafly classes the strain as a sativa. AllBud, which also traces it to Girl Scout Cookies and Tangie, calls it sativa-dominant, scoring it 70% sativa to 30% indica.

Orange on the nose, purple in the buds

Leafly says to expect citrus notes backed by a cookie flavour, and its top flavour tags are orange, tropical and citrus. One Leafly reviewer smelled bright citrus like a freshly peeled orange and tasted sweet, tangy orange with a light floral note. Another found a creamy orange smell and a grapefruit taste, and a third called the taste very tropical, like suntan lotion. AllBud’s flavour note is sour citrus with a slightly sweet, cookie-like exhale, over an aroma of earthy pine and sour spice under a heavy orange note. Leafly describes purple buds with hints of dark green and orange hairs, and the reviewer who smelled peeled orange saw dense, frosty buds in deep purple and green.
