Cherry Kush

Cherry Kush is a flower named for the strain that Leafly and AllBud both describe as a cross of Purple Afghani and OG Kush. Our own Cherry Kush guide calls it an indica-leaning hybrid.

Purple Afghani meets OG Kush

Leafly calls it a very potent indica-dominant hybrid, with hybrid as its category, and its genetics section lists Cherry Grapefruit and Cherry Kiss as descendants. On AllBud, the entry reads indica-dominant hybrid, roughly 70% indica and 30% sativa, with OG Kush and Purple Afghani as the parents.

Green to purple-tinged red, under a frost of trichomes

Leafly describes flowers ranging from bright green to a darker purple-tinged red, with a dense coating of trichomes. AllBud’s buds are bright green and frosted with a dense layer of trichomes.

Cherry over a woody, hashy undertone

Leafly describes a flavour reminiscent of cherries with a woody, hashy undertone, and tags it berry, sweet and tree fruit. Its reviewers mention an earthy taste, a tasty cherry flavour, a sweet and piney taste and a smell like grapes.

AllBud tags berry, cherry, citrus, fruity, sweet and tropical flavours and cherry, earthy, kush and pungent aromas. Its write-up calls the flavour sweet and pungent with berry hints, and its reviewers report a dank black-cherry smell, a cherry, mint, plum and woody taste, and sticky buds that smell berry and woodsy.

Caryophyllene, limonene and linalool

Leafly’s terpene data lists caryophyllene first, then limonene and linalool. Limonene, in second place, is the citrus terpene described in our limonene guide.

Leafly’s figures are about 20% THC and 1% CBG, and the potency gauge there reads above average. AllBud’s header runs from 17% to 23% THC, while its text puts THC at about 20% and CBD at about 0.5%.

How the high is described

Leafly’s write-up describes a high that starts stimulating and cerebral before settling into deep relaxation. Its reviewers tag happy and relaxed most often, and also uplifted, euphoric, energetic, giggly, focused and talkative.

AllBud describes a body-focused, strongly euphoric high with deep relaxation, and the tags from its users are euphoria, happy and relaxing.
