Platinum Punch

Platinum Punch is flower with five weights to choose from, starting at 1 g and 3.5 g, then 7 g, 14 g and 28 g. Both Leafly and AllBud name Platinum Wreck and Fruit Punch as the two parents of the strain that lends the flower its name.

Leafly puts the strain in the hybrid category. AllBud calls it a sativa dominant hybrid, weighted 70% sativa and 30% indica, and its write-up notes that the name is said to reflect the strain’s striking looks and strong head high. Dense buds, light green or neon

Leafly describes dense, light green nugs frosted with trichomes. AllBud describes dense, heavy, popcorn-shaped buds in neon green with vivid orange hairs, covered top to bottom in tiny white trichomes. One AllBud reviewer calls the buds extremely frosty and very purple, and a Leafly reviewer mentions plenty of orange hairs and sparkling trichomes.

Citrus, pepper and berry

Broken-up buds smell of sharp sour citrus and spicy black pepper, says AllBud, and the sweet, fruity flavour carries sour citrus and spicy herbs. Its aroma tags are berry, citrus, sour and spicy.

Pepper, nutty and berry make up Leafly’s flavour tags, and its summary expects an herbal taste with citrus and pepper hints. Leafly reviewers describe a fruity smell with cherry, lemon and orange notes, a berry flavour, an earthy smell in the bag and a stronger berry smell once the flower is ground. THC figures and a slow first session

Around 15% THC with 1% CBG is what Leafly’s strain page shows, while AllBud shows 28%. For a first puff or two, Health Canada‘s lower-your-risks page points to products with 10% THC or less, which puts AllBud’s 28% far over that line. The same page says inhaled effects arrive within seconds to minutes.

Focused, relaxed and giggly

Focused, relaxed and giggly lead the feelings Leafly reviewers report, and Leafly’s FAQ lists happy, relaxed and focused. Other reviewers tag energetic, talkative, tingly, uplifted, creative, happy, euphoric and hungry.

AllBud describes a heavy cerebral high with focus and motivation, sharpened senses and strong euphoria. Its tags are euphoria, focus, happy, relaxing and uplifting. One AllBud reviewer compares it to Green Crack but stronger, and mentions creativity and energy. Leafly shows 4.3 from 35 ratings, and AllBud shows 4.8 from 18 votes.
