Sunset Sherbet

Sherbert is Leafly‘s main name for the strain behind this Sunset Sherbet flower, with Sunset Sherbet among the alternatives it gives. In Leafly’s words it is an indica-dominant hybrid. AllBud, whose page is titled Sunset Sherbert, lists it as 85% indica and 15% sativa.

Mr. Sherbinski’s Cookies cross

Leafly credits Mr. Sherbinski and says he bred the strain on purpose, so that the Girl Scout Cookies line would carry on. Both sources name Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties as the parents. Leafly’s grow note gives flowering as 63 to 72 days.

What our guide says about its offspring

Steven De Guzman’s tip in our Sunset Sherbet guide ties the flavour to the strain’s children. Leafly lists Gelato and Lemon Cherry Gelato as bred from it, and he says fans of either will find its skunky citrus, sweet berry and candy profile familiar.

Buds shaped like small Christmas trees

Growers quoted by Leafly call the nugs fluffy and oblong, thick with trichomes, with dark amber hairs among leaves in light and dark green. AllBud compares its large, tightly packed buds to small Christmas trees, minty green with orange hairs and milky-white trichomes.

Fruit, cookie and a little mint

Leafly’s flavour description runs sweet and dessert-like, built from skunky citrus, sweet berry and candy. Leafly tags the flavour citrus, sweet and tropical. AllBud’s flavour is fruity and cookie-like, with a hint of minty cream. Its aroma is a little pungent, sweet and creamy, carrying fruit and a note of sharp mint, and the flavour tags it uses are creamy, fruity, nutty and sweet.

Caryophyllene, THC and the reported high

Caryophyllene, the peppery terpene, is the most abundant on Leafly, ahead of limonene and myrcene. In its header Leafly shows 18% THC and 1% CBG, plus a potency reading above average. AllBud’s range is 15% to 19% THC, and it lists CBD at 1%.
