How Moroccan hash is traditionally beaten over a stretched cloth

Wikipedia’s article on cannabis in Morocco outlines the traditional dry-sifting method. Cut in autumn, the stalks spend about a month drying indoors before they are beaten over a taut, fine cloth, letting the trichomes drop into a metal basin underneath. In Sensi Seeds’ version the powder becomes balls, sticks or bricks; farmers who add heat while pressing cause some trichomes to give up their oils, which binds the powder into a solid, sticky mass.
