Black Widow

Black Widow flower is named for a strain whose parents Leafly lists as South American and South Indian Sativa. Leafly calls it a balanced hybrid, while AllBud lists it as a sativa.

Brazilian and South Indian parents

AllBud pairs a South Indian indica with a Brazilian sativa as the parents, and Leafly’s genetics section lists Clockwork Orange and Mona Louisa as children of Black Widow.

Fruity, a little skunky

Leafly says Black Widow smells fruity and a little skunky, and its top flavour tags are ammonia, woody and earthy. One Leafly reviewer describes a strong, pungent smell that is fruity, sweet and earthy, and a home grower calls the strain very frosty. On AllBud, one reader describes a fruity, powerful flavour and another tags fruity, ammonia and cherry aromas.

Robert Misic’s tip in our guide regards a sharp edge on the smoke as expected with those flavours, but not an ammonia blast the moment the jar opens. A high-THC reputation and a terpinolene lead

Leafly puts THC near 18% with 1% CBG, calling the strain extremely potent and suited to people with a high THC tolerance. AllBud shows THC at 24% and says some tests top that, which it says puts the strain on a short list of the strongest.
