THCA diamonds are the form of this Heisenberg Biscotti concentrate: solid crystals that formed while an extract was separating.
Separated, crystallized, then heated
As the extract separates, THCA collects into these solid pieces. Heat is the step that converts THCA into THC, so the crystals hold THCA until they are used. Our guide to THC diamonds goes into how the crystals are produced.
Bred by Cookies Farms from a Gelato line
Cookies Farms is the original breeder, according to Leafly, which calls Biscotti a potent indica-dominant hybrid. Leafly gives the reported cross as Sour Florida OG with Gelato 25 and mentions a second account naming Motorbreath and G41 (Gelato 41). Its family tree for the strain shows Gelato and Florida OG as parents, with Permanent Marker and Purple Octane as offspring.
AllBud describes a rare three-way cross with Gelato #25 and South Florida OG among the parents, at 80% indica and 20% sativa. One AllBud user comment names Gelato #42 and Motorbreath #15 from Connected Cannabis Co as the parents. Our Biscotti strain page gives Gelato #25 with Sour Florida OG as the cross most often reported.
THC, CBG and a caryophyllene lead
Leafly’s strain page shows Biscotti with THC around 20% and CBG at 1%, AllBud gives THC at 25%, and our strain page puts the range at 21 to 26%. Leafly’s terpene list for Biscotti opens with caryophyllene, the dominant one, followed by limonene and myrcene.
Going slowly with crystal concentrates
Biscotti diamonds are an extract product, and the Health Canada lower-risk page classes extracts as high in THC, using hash, wax, kief and shatter as its examples; for newcomers and occasional users, its suggestion is simply to avoid them. Biscotti diamonds, like any cannabis, mean no driving for at least 6 hours afterward, under the lower-risk guidelines.
