Crystals pulled from fresh-frozen plants

Willo’s Diamonds page credits hydrocarbon extraction for the vivid crystalline structures, and says the cannabis that goes in is fresh-frozen and comes from one source. Freezing plants as soon as they are harvested, and skipping the usual drying and curing, is a way to keep more of the terpenes a fresh plant carries. The crystals themselves are THCA that collects into solid form as an extract separates, and heat changes that THCA into THC, which is the job a dab does. Between dabs, Willo’s advice is to store the crystals somewhere cool and dry, shaded from direct sunlight and kept well away from heat.

Creamy banana and sour pineapple, per AllBud

AllBud lists rich flavours of creamy banana, sour pineapple and fresh, sweet citrus, with an aroma that follows the flavour and adds hints of earth and herbs. One AllBud reviewer says it tastes just like a pina colada, and another describes tropical terpenes strong enough to make a room smell like the tropics. AllBud’s write-up also borrows from the Pina Colada song, with its line about getting caught in the rain.

As flower, AllBud says the strain grows loose, airy, light green buds, spade-shaped with a pink tint, matching pink hairs and a coat of clear, milky trichomes.

An uplifting 50/50 hybrid by AllBud’s account

AllBud counts Pina Colada as a hybrid split down the middle, half indica and half sativa, and names Banana Kush as one parent. It describes an uplifting, energizing high that opens with an almost immediate rush of cerebral euphoria, lifting the mood and at times feeling almost frenzied. Euphoria, happy and uplifting are its effect tags, and the strain averages 4.3 from 34 votes and 4 reviews. For the strain in general, AllBud puts THC at 15% to 23% and CBD at 1% to 2%.

On Health Canada‘s lower-risk page, extracts such as hash, wax and shatter are singled out as high in THC, with a suggestion that newcomers and occasional users avoid them, and diamonds are an extract too.
